Preschool & school on Rörö
Rörö has an integrated operation where preschool, school and after-school care are run in the same building. Children from 1 year of age up to Year 3 attend here, which creates a close bond between the different activities.
The preschool is located in Rörö IF’s premises and has access to a sports hall. The close connection between the preschool, school and after-school club means that staff work together across boundaries and can give the children a safe and cohesive everyday life.
Digital learning is a natural part of teaching. Pupils use iPads, computers and other tools to support their learning. The school also has access to pupil health services via Öckerö municipality’s central resources – special needs teachers, school nurses and counsellors.
Rörö School follows a clear plan against discrimination and offensive treatment, with a focus on safety, participation and preventive work.

Continued studies – Bratteberg School, Öckerö
When the children get older and start Year 4, they move to Brattebergsskolan in Öckerö. The school has around 370 pupils and is divided into two units: one for Years 4–6 and one for Years 7–9.
The premises are modern, bright and fully equipped for crafts, music, art, home economics and other practical subjects. All pupils have access to Chromebooks, and digital tools are used as a natural part of teaching.
Brattebergsskolan has a comprehensive student health service with a school nurse, counsellor, special needs teacher and study and career guidance counsellor, as well as a speech therapist and psychologist when needed. The school actively works with extra adaptations, special support and individual plans for students who need it.
Core values, security and participation are central. Safety work, student influence and preventive procedures against discrimination are well established in the school’s governing documents.
