Rörö has a harbour for the island’s residents with facilities and equipment for boat owners. There is a boat lift, mast crane, washdown pad, environmental station, marine fuel station and storage facilities on land. The harbour is used year-round for launching and hauling out boats.

In addition to small boats, the harbour is also home to the island’s fishing boats – an activity that has historically been one of Røros’s most important lifelines. Fishing has played a part in shaping the island’s culture and community, and fishing boats still contribute to the rhythm of the harbour with their departures, catches and work shifts. Together, they make Røros harbour a vibrant place where tradition, work and boating come together.

Please note: The harbour does not offer workshop services, engine/hull repairs or on-site mechanics.
